I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer.
I’ve been quiet on here for a little while, soaking up the summer madness before this short but busy season slips away. In some ways it feels like summer is only just beginning. In Vancouver we started off with a gorgeous spring, followed by a slow start to summer with more rain than usual – much needed with the forest fires. I feel sad for those who’ve lost their homes and for others on exacuation alert.
I’ve also been spending a bit of time writing. I’m working on a book – slowly but steadily – and it’s been a meaningful project to ease into during this quieter stretch.
I also lost someone who was like a brother to me. George, my late husband’s brother, passed away recently. I feel sad about that.
Just thought I should come on here to let you know I’m still around and plan to start up again mid‑September to report on a couple of destination spots. One place I haven’t visited for many years, and another I’ve been wanting to go to, but this will be the first time.
Until then, a few pics of what I’ve been up to lately.

How is your summer going?
