This is an easy appy idea that your guests will love! It’s a take on an old-fashioned recipe.
My mom used to serve something like this in an actual salmon-shaped mold. I’ll be on the lookout for one of those, but in the meantime if you know where to find one please let me know.
One 213g tin of wild red salmon (preferably Sockeye) drained
One 227g package – lite cream cheese (or a bit less) softened
Panko (Japanese bread crumbs) about ½ cup or a combo of panko and chopped Walnuts
Grated cheese (like Parmesan or Asiago) about ½ cup
Chopped green onions (2-3)
1 tsp. prepared Horseradish
Worcestershire Sauce to taste
Dash of Hot Pepper Sauce
Lemon Pepper Seasoning
1 Tbsp, fresh lemon juice
Chopped parsley (optional)
Leave it in the fridge overnight before forming it into a ball, it will be much easier.
Decorate with chopped parsley or green onion.
Serve with crackers, tortilla chips or plain melba toast.
